Etches PlasticsAug 10, 2008 Every time I run my dishwasher with one of the major brands of dishwasher detergent, my son has an asthma attack. First, I tried the Seventh Generation powdered dishwasher detergent. My son didn't have asthma attacks with it, but it etched my plastics badly. Then I tried the Seventh Generation Lemon gel. It does not cause my son to have asthma attacks and it doesn't etch my plastics. I definitely recomend the gel. I have recently started using the Seventh Generation Laundry detergent, and I like that, too.
Environmentally Friendly, Excellent Cleaning PowerAug 08, 2008 I originally purchased this item because it was safe for the environment. I am accustomed to using Shaklee products but thought I would give Seventh Generation a try. It works WONDERFULLY, especially when you consider that there aren't any harsh abrasives or dioxins doing the cleaning for you. I have not found a single spot on a single dish. I definitely recommend this product.
This doesn't work!!Aug 06, 2008 I have a box that I am ready to throw away, after using half a box and having to rewash the dishes EVERY SINGLE TIME!! It is truly the worst dishwashing detergent ever!
Works greatJul 30, 2008 I bought this becasue I have babies and wanted to get away from more conventional dishwasher detergents. This product works great. No complaints.
Poor results, cloudy glasses, use EcoVer instead! It works GREAT!Jul 27, 2008 We have been switching as many products to eco-friendly products as we can find available. We really like the Seventh Generation paper towels and toilet paper, but the dish detergent fails the test.
After about a month of use, our glasses started getting cloudy with a white film on them. We tried reducing the amount of detergent, as suggested in these reviews, but no change, they just got worse as time went along. Also coffee cups were keeping a light brown film, indicating they were not getting fully clean.
We switched to Ecover with instant and outstanding results. Instantly the glasses were spotlessly clear, coffee cups were sparkling clean. And the tablets are easier to use and use less packaging than Seventh Generation. And the packaging is recyclable. We also bought Ecover rinse agent and got rid of JetDry with excellent results.
Want a great eco-friendly dishwashing solution and rinse agent, get Ecover instead of Seventh Generation. Amazon offers it.
